Chinese Personality Traits and Mental Health: A Meta-Analysis

This meta-analysis aimed to synthesize the evidence on relationship between Chinese personality traits and mental health. Through literature search screening, a total of 70 original articles 72 independent samples with 65,133 participants were included. The results showed that: (1) health was significantly correlated three dimensions personality: psychoticism, neuroticism, extraversion (correlation coefficients 0.234, 0.438, −0.101, respectively); (2) each factor positively psychoticism neuroticism; only interpersonal sensitivity negatively extraversion; (3) subject type has significant moderating effect neuroticism extraversion, but no psychoticism; (4) publication does not play role in dimensions. confirmed that have predictive people.
